Can anyone name the best Italian food restaurant in San Diego, CA

As a former employee (16 years ago!) I am much biased in favor of Sorrentino is Pizza in Clairmont.

I would HIGHLY recommend The Godfather restaurant in Clairmont Mesa. They have wonderful Italian food. You get plenty of it for the money too. With each entree, they give u breaded/sauteed zucchini as well as a side dish of spaghetti marinara.

The other great thing about The Godfather is the ambiance. It really feels like you're in the middle of the movie or something. It definitely feels like the kind of restaurant Michael or Vito Corleone would hang out in. For example, all the waiters r dressed in tuxes.
